I’ve known how to sew since I was eight years old, but no one told me that it could be used to solve real world problems. I grew up thinking that problems can only be solved with numbers and lines, but that’s simply not the case. You can solve problems with shapes and colors, and you can heal through every little thing you create. Aside from fixing waste that could potentially end up in the landfill, the biggest problem I had had to face as a teen, was lack of money, my family couldn’t afford much, so I started with what I had and went from there.
